Jesse get drums. . .Mom and Dad looking for ear-plugs yet?

Here's Jesse on the drum set he finally got for his birthday. . .last night.
(It took us a long time to decide what to get him but he waited patiently since July 2
and they arrived July 31, 2013.  In kid's time that's a l-o-n-g wait. . .
but Grandparents are sometimes s-l-o-w. We wanted to get something
he either needed or would help him learn something of value.)
After he'd played on them for only a few minutes he told his dad, "I'm getting better already!"
According to Jesse, Kathryn was teaching him how to play.
(not that she's ever played the drums before)

Well. . .Becky said the drums were very nice and definitely very LOUD.
Sometimes little boys grow up enjoying the same things. . .like drums. . .their fathers enjoyed.
I'm not sure if its the sound of the drums or the beat or just music in general.

Jesse's daddy sure loved his drums and he would drive his sister crazy playing them
late a night. . .and into the early hours of the morning.
Sometimes he would put his headphones on so he could hear the church he was
drumming. . .but all we heard was the drums!
That was when Sarah would complain. . .and sometimes Tom and I.

I am glad though, for all the time he spent in our home playing the drums and being content to be there. . .in the home. . .with his family.
I am thankful for all the years he used his ability to bless God's people.
I hope Jesse will do that in the years ahead.

I hope Jesse learns to play the "song" and not just beat the drums. . .
his daddy was a master at that.
He would make the words of the song more emphatic by accenting or
playing softly so the message would be clear
in the mind of the hearer.
His dear old dad, Tom Peach, taught him that.
Tom would say feel what the Lord is wanting to emphasize and work with Him.
Now it 's Stan's turn to teach Jesse how to worship the Lord on the cymbals
and drums. . .God is good.

Psalm100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
